This text is based on the video titled "Muslims should worship Jesus" from the youtube channel titled "Give Light". The Christian is often asked the same question from Muslims that is, "Why do you worship Jesus?" In this text we shall examine both Sacred Scripture (the Bible) and the Qur'an to demonstrate that Jesus is meant to be worshipped and is in fact God.
In Matthew 2:1-2, the 3 wise men came and worshipped Christ. Muslims may argue that Christ was in fact an infant, yet Surah 5:110 of the Qur'an states that Christ as an infant could in fact speak. So why did not Christ just spoke against the 3 wise men not to worship Him? In John 9 Christ was again worshipped by the blind man He healed, and this is repeated in many other cases as written in Matthew 28:9, Matthew 28:17, Luke 24:52, and not once did Christ condemn the worshippers.
According to the Qur'an, it is a sin to worship anything other than Allah. At the same time Surah 19:19 and Sahih Muslim Book 30 Hadith 5838 confirms that Christ is sinless. If it is a sin to worship Christ, then He too has sinned for allowing people to worship Him, for He lies. Then Christ often refers to Himself as the Son of Man, which is from Daniel 7:13-14. The original word in Daniel in reference to the Son of Man is pelah, the highest form of service, worship, and work attributable to God. So by saying that Christ is claiming to be God. Yet in the Qur'an it is written that none is worthy of worship but Allah. In Surah 22:56 Allah is the final judge, yet in Matthew 25:31 and John 5:22-23 Christ declares that He is the final judge.
So if both Sacred Scripture and the Qur'an states that Christ is a miracle worker, is sinless, and is the final judge, why do Muslims not worship Him?
